National Football League extends helmet-shock rule, working on targeting rule
The National Football League confirmed the broadening of the helmet-shock rule that going to penalize players who lead by the crown of their helmets to initiate contact versus an opponent on any play, National Football League Competition Committee Chairman Rich McKay reported Tuesday. Clubs going to still to work on a targeting rule similar to the college football rule in that players would be automatically ejected for hitting by the helmet. none regarding a targeting rule has been finalized by the National Football League.
