After nearly every team engaged in some sort of demonstration, the owner of Palmetto Restaurant & Ale House in Greenville took to Facebook & wrote that he would stop showing NFL games. "No NFL games will be played at Palmetto Ale House until every player stands in respect to our flag & our country," owner David McCraw wrote on the restaurant's Facebook page. He can't openly discriminate versus anyone -- there are laws versus that, thank goodness, but if he doesn't want to show NFL games that's his right. Unfortunately it is also the right of NFL players to take knees while listening to the national anthem.

ESPN survey shows Americans interested, divided on NFL protests during national anthem

as declared in One week after President Donald Trump criticized NFL players for protesting during the national anthem, Americans tell they are paying close attention to the story & are divided in their attitudes about the protests. Survey respondents that identified themselves as avid NFL fans were split almost evenly on the protests, by 48 percent strongly or somewhat confirming & 47 percent strongly or somewhat disapproving. Among avid NFL fans, 64 percent disapproved & 33 percent approved. Among fans who consider themselves avid NFL fans, 64 percent feel the media is focusing also much on the story, by 27 percent saying it's just right. A clear majority of avid NFL fans (58 percent) agree that the players ought not be punished, while 34 percent believe they ought be punished.
